🌿 Full Circle Celebrations – Frequently Asked Questions

Legal, practical and heartfelt guidance for your wedding journey

A ceremony is a big moment — and it’s natural to have questions. Here are some gentle, clear answers to help you feel grounded and supported as you plan.

Yes. I take care of every legal requirement — from the Notice of Intended Marriage to the final lodgement after your ceremony. You’ll be guided through each step with clarity and calm.

As soon as you feel ready. Weekends and popular seasons fill quickly, but I always do my best to accommodate your date. If you’re planning something last-minute or spontaneous, reach out — you may be pleasantly surprised.

Absolutely. Travel within the local area is included in all packages. For ceremonies further afield — the South West, regional WA, or special destinations — extended travel can be arranged with a simple, transparent fee.

Yes — wholeheartedly. Your ceremony should feel like you. You’re welcome to include rituals, cultural elements, family involvement, readings, music, humour, or quiet moments of reflection. I’ll help you shape it all with care.

With my whole heart. Love is love, and all identities, orientations, cultures, and family structures are welcomed, honoured, and celebrated.

Of course. I offer gentle guidance, prompts, examples, and structure to help you find words that feel natural and true.

Yes. Rehearsals are included in the Bloom and Evergreen packages and can be added to the Seedling package if you’d like the extra support.

You’re not alone — many couples feel this way. My background in teaching, public speaking coaching, and supporting people through big moments means I can help you feel calm, confident, and grounded on the day.

Nature has her own plans sometimes. I’ll work with you and your venue to adjust smoothly — whether that means shifting indoors, changing the layout, or adapting the ceremony flow. Flexibility is part of the process.

🌿 Legal & Practical Questions

To honour the legal foundations of your marriage, certain documents must be provided — the roots that allow your ceremony to grow strong and valid.

All documents must be in English, or accompanied by a certified English translation.

You’ll need:

  • Primary legal ID — your Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Photo ID confirming your date of birth — Driver’s Licence or Proof of Age Card
  • Evidence of the end of any previous marriage — Divorce Certificate or Death Certificate
  • Change of Name documents, if your name has been legally changed

Your date is officially held once:

  • Your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) is lodged with me
  • You accept my Conditions of Service
  • Your $250 booking fee is received

The NOIM must be lodged at least one month before your ceremony, as required by Australian marriage law.

This is where the creative heart of Full Circle Celebrations begins.

Together, we shape a ceremony that reflects your story, your values, and the season of life you’re stepping into. We collaborate through email, phone, and video to craft a ceremony that is uniquely yours — while I ensure every legal element is in place so your marriage is valid and protected.

No two ceremonies are ever the same. Yours will be written with intention, warmth and care.

We usually meet one to two weeks before your wedding to:

  • Confirm the ceremony structure and flow
  • Walk through rituals, readings or symbolic elements
  • Complete all required legal declarations
  • Finalise any outstanding payments

Your ceremony cannot proceed until the legal declarations are signed — they are the final step before your wedding day unfolds.

During the ceremony, you, your two witnesses, and I will sign:

  • Two Official Marriage Certificates, and
  • One Form 15 Presentation Certificate (your keepsake)

These signatures mark the legal moment your marriage is recognised.

If either of you does not understand English, the law requires an interpreter to ensure the ceremony is understood fully and freely.

I will provide the necessary forms:

  • A Statutory Declaration (signed before the ceremony)
  • A Certificate of Faithful Performance (completed immediately after)

This ensures your marriage is valid and your consent is clear.

You will receive the Form 15 Presentation Certificate — a beautiful keepsake of your ceremony.

To update records or change your name, you will need to apply to the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages for a certified copy of your Official Marriage Certificate, which includes your personal details.

There is no legal requirement to change your name — your identity remains entirely your choice.

You may:

  • Keep your current name
  • Take your spouse’s name
  • Use a new name by repute (the name you are known by)

Most institutions will accept a certified copy of your Official Marriage Certificate as evidence of your new married name.

If you prefer a formal legal name change, apply through the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages in your state or territory.

Marriage changes your legal status. If you are an Australian citizen, you must inform:

  • The Australian Electoral Commission
  • The Australian Taxation Office

Other organisations — banks, insurers, superannuation funds, and government agencies — may also need to be notified.
